1. Applicable Scope
This test is applicable to various PVC sheathed cables, regardless of the type of insulation of the insulated core. If the relevant cable product standard has provisions, it is also applicable to the polyethylene insulation of unshielded wires, flexible wires and flat flexible wires. The PVC insulation of the sheathed cable is not directly subjected to low temperature impact test.
2. Sampling and sample preparation
Take three finished cable samples, each sample length is at least 5 times the cable diameter, the shortest 150mm. All outer sheaths should be removed.
3. Test equipment
Before and during the test, they should be placed in a low temperature box.
4. Test Steps
(1) Place the sample on the impact device and hang the weight. After finishing all the preparations, close the door and experiment.
(2) After the low temperature time has passed, hold the firing handle with your hand and let the weight drop to impact the sample.
(3) Observe the sample surface and record the test results.
